You will self-load and skid 1/2 ton logs by yourself with this Skidder attached to your ATV. The Norwood SkidMate has an efficient method for hooking the log that allows you to slip the choker chain and steel probe under the log to hook the chain. As the ATV moves forward, the chain rides up the slide bar and raises the log high into the arch of the log skidder. The tires are 6.5" x 8.5" and the SkidMate log skidder can handle logs up to 20 feet long weighing 1000 lbs.
